On the mountain and rising: Hiking in the Samnaun-Ischgl border region
250 km of hiking trails meeting all requirements in the border triangle between Italy, Austria and Switzerland mean pure hiking enjoyment and unforgettable views from and overlooking the most beautiful summits in the Eastern Alps. The SamnaunBus will pick you up free of charge with the guest card and conveniently take you from the Engadin Lodge to the starting points of all planned summit hikes.
You will have enough time to admire the unique flora and fauna of the border region as you hike along the well-marked trails. The Samnaun Valley is home to over 900 different species of plants, a unique aromatic and colourful paradise with lots of orchid and anemone species, gentians and the precious and protected Edelweiss.

Panoramic trails and smuggler's route. Cycle through picturesque villages, up through deep gorges and back again through flowing downhill trails on your mountain bike. The bike routes surrounding the Engadin Lodge captivate with their unforgettable impressions in a unique natural area.
With 80 km of top quality riding routes around the Samnaun Valley, there is something to suit every taste. You can conveniently rent Flyer e-bikes in Samnaun. Cycling becomes somewhat of an indulgence sport if an electric motor is used to support the pedalling force. Weekly guided tours organized by the Samnaun Tourism Board.
The trails in the Samnaun-Ischgl Silvretta Arena
From the Engadin Lodge you can conveniently take the double cable car directly to the mountain ridges in the direction of Ischgl. We then descend along two sporty trails of the Samnaun/Ischgl Silvretta Arena or continue on into Tyrol. You can even check the weather and the surroundings through the panoramic windows as you have breakfast in your apartment.
When the pedals start to twinge, you will find several well-equipped bike shops in and around Samnaun for service, repairs, rental or driver training.

All things "outdoor" in Samnaun
The possibilities in the Samnaun Valley are almost limitless. From climbing to rafting, horse riding, kayaking, paragliding and two adventure parks, there is plenty on offer for the whole family. And often even a little bit more. Marvel at Engadin from above while paragliding. Rafting tours in the Inn gorge take you through a spectacular mountain landscape from May to September. Climbing enthusiasts will reach the peaks of the Greitspitze and Flimspitze on perfectly groomed fixed rope routes. And those that prefer it more classical will find the allure of a captivating match on the two beautiful tennis courts in Samnaun and Samnaun Raviasch too good to resist.
